Our Vision

Our Vision

Daniel 11:32b

…but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.

KNOW GOD

Helping all to know the one and only true God.

Our Sunday Service is intentional to declare the truth about who God is, to passionately worship and show our love for Him. We place a high priority on children and have a special time just for them. We thoroughly enjoy gathering together for worship and godly fellowship. We consider it a privilege when visitors choose to worship with us!  It is our desire to help them experience God and get to know Him a little more.

STAND FIRM

Teaching all to stand firm on the truth of God’s Word for their lives.

We believe the Word of God is the foundation for what we believe and how we are to live. It is declared unapologetically! The Bible is taught with a challenge to embrace it and stand firm on it. It starts with the Gospel or good news of God. To be made right or reconciled with God is the highest priority! Learning how to live the life God wants for us then follows! It takes a stand firm faith or you don’t stand firm at all!

TAKE ACTION

Equipping Disciples for growth and serving.

Salvation is in Christ alone, grace alone, and in faith alone! Yet faith is never alone! REAL FAITH brings out undeniable evidence of being a new creation because it has the assurance and correct view of who God is combined with the allegiance, conviction, and accountability to do what God’s Word says!

We Incorporate small groups as the primary opportunity to develop strong, intimate godly relationships, personal growth, and service opportunities. Small groups can include specialized training such as:

evangelism, leadership training, mentoring, children’s ministry, etc.

Mentoring is another opportunity for spiritual growth and or serving growth

We look for opportunities to connect and minister to our community! We have a weekly caregiver support group. Other small group opportunities can address community issues such as marriage, raising children, blended families, addiction, etc.

Our Statement of  Faith

Statement of Final Authority for Matters of Belief and Conduct

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.  The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe.  For purposes of Madison Valley Baptist Church’s faith, doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, the   Minister, Deacon Team, and congregation is Madison Valley Baptist Church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s application.

We hold to the doctrines found below

The Baptist Faith and Message 2000

The Sanctity of Human Life

We believe that all human life is sacred and created by God in His image.  Human life is of inestimable worth in all its dimensions, including pre-born babies, the aged, the physically or mentally challenged, and every other stage or condition from conception through natural death.  We are therefore called to defend, protect, and value all human life.  (Psalm 139)

Statement on Marriage & Sexuality

We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female.  These two distinct, complementary sexes together reflect the image and nature of God.  (Genesis 1:26-27) Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

We believe the term “marriage” has only one meaning:  the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture. (Genesis 2:18-25) We believe that marriage between one man and one woman, for life, uniquely reflects Christ’s relationship with His Church. (Ephesians 5:21-33) We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other.  (I Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4) We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God.  (Matthew 15:18-20, I Corinthians 6:9-10)

Statement of Compassion

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.  (Mark 12:28-31, Luke 6:31)  Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with Scripture nor the doctrines of Madison Valley Baptist Church.
